Peninsula in Passage, an oral history based the "coffee table" book, captures the voice and sense of place of the Bennett's Creek/Driver area, one of the most dramatically changing sections of Hampton Roads.

The book - hardcover, full color, 224 pages - was published under the auspices of Suffolk River Heritage, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of local history.

Peninsula in Passage documents the colorful past history of the community as well as its more recent development. It serves as a happy reminder of shared heritage for longtime residents as well as an introduction to the area for newcomers. Our goal is to further a sense of community in this rapidly evolving region.
